Calvin Harris was tried four times before finally being acquitted at the fourth trial. He was charged with stalking and DWI after this with a new woman. He was convicted the first two times, both verdicts were overturned. The third jury was hung.

No one else has ever been charged in Michelle's murder, nor has her body ever been found.
